I’m Amber.

I write escapist stories where the villain gets the girl, where the world is quirky and dark, and where monsters are very much real.

I love seeing what happens when you explore sacred topics like love, death, and hope in funny, irreverent, and sexy contexts. I write books that give readers the hit of dopamine that a good only-one-bed trope or a chosen one fantasy provides, but also hopefully help them discover who they are and find their place on this floating bit of stardust.

• I have a B.A. in English and am a recovering middle school English teacher

• I can read Ancient Greek

• I’m a synesthete. Letters, numbers, and days of the week all have colors and even personalities in my head.

• I have Tourette Syndrome.
